THe RTN is compriosed of voting members of the represented Medical COntrol Authorities (MCAs). The RTN is established by statute to be the overarching coordinating and policy setting body for the regional trauma system design.
The Legal Authority of the RTN rests in the individual Medical Control Authorities through the state approval and adoption of protocols and policies. The RTN meetings are subject to the Open Meetings Act due to the policy setting nature of the meetings.
THe RTN meets immediately following the RTAC on the second Wednesday of every other month: Feb, Apr, Jun, Aug, Oct, Dec. Meetings take place at the Tamarack Center in Fremont MI from 12:00 PM until completed (typically within 1/2 hour). RTAC attendance is recommended if you are planning to attend the RTN as most topics are covered in more detail in the advisory meeting and are then briefly reviewed an voted upon in the RTN.
